How it
works
GAME NIGHT lasts around 3 hours depending on how many participate. With 10 players there will be three game tables and 1 dealer at each table. I will always be dealer 1 and my colleague will be dealer 2. Dealer 3 will be one of you and after every round the players and dealer 3 will rotate to another game table.

The dealer is the one who controls the game table. He or she makes sure everyone follows the rules of the game and keeps speaking English. A new player gets a chance to be dealer 3 after every rotation.

Akce Game Night byla moc fajn. Jedna z mála možností mluvit anglicky a ještě se pobavit u přichystaných her. Těším se na další večer v březnu. Pokud bude ještě místo, neváhejte a pojďte si s námi hrát.

Pozvání, informace k průběhu večera a k pravidlům her byly přehledné. Někdy jsem jen nerozuměla mluvenému slovu. Nehraji moc hry a ani často nemluvím anglicky, ale určitě to byl příjemný večer se zajímavými lidmi. Ráda se zúčastním příště. Zuzka
Fajn akce. Nutnost rychlého přemýšlení v každé hře, navíc rovnou v angličtině určitě stála nějaké úsilí. Na druhé straně zábavná forma všech her včetně velkého finále i příjemné prostředí na mě působily vysloveně relaxačně. A bezprostřední komunikaci s širším spektrem lidí považuji také za zajímavé zpestření proti běžným lekcím. Těším se na příště.

ABOUT ME
My name is Josh Takahashi and I am an American who has been living in Czech for the past 10 years. I grew up in California then spent most of my 20's traveling. I met my Czech wife in Israel then settled down in Czech. Most of my time here has been spent teaching English. One thing I have learned is that Czech people almost never have the chance for speaking English in a normal situation with a native speaker. With Game Night I intend to provide that chance.
Many people in Czech find themselves hopelessly stuck in the lower intermediate English level, but there is a way out - practice with a native. In Frýdek-Místek this may seem impossible, but with GAME NIGHT you and your friends can join an English atmosphere with a native English speaker. In a normal class you only learn how to understand the slow teaching voice of the instructors and then you are lost when faced with the real world of native English. So get out of the classroom and join me for an unforgettable night of food, fun and friends!
